Missions Coordinator

The Missions coordinator will be responsible to champion the value of evangelism in the congregation by developing programs in the ministries to challenge the congregation to grow in this area of their spiritual lives.

  • Developing and implementing strategies that will aid in the goal of reaching the unchurched.
  • Develops relationships with outside agencies or programs to provide outreach opportunities for the congregation.
  • Organize annual mission calendar, and specific mission events: special and/or regular mission prayer meetings, mission expos to expose the church to a variety of mission agencies and opportunities, mission workshops/conferences/seminars, fundraising events for specific projects/needs, guest speakers/preachers for services, programs or small groups (e.g. missionaries or agency representatives), and organize focused mission weekends/months.

Attraction

  • Developing a compelling value proposition that ensures the attraction of the un-churched
  • Develop comprehensive missions strategy for the church
  • Serve as the missions specialist for the church, offering expertise and guidance to ministries. Facilitate mission and volunteer events and training within the church with the intent of educating the congregation and equipping them to serve in missions both locally and beyond, helping them make adequate preparations.

  • Facilitate the active mission involvement of church
  • Encourage mission involvement by and in cooperation with all ministry areas of the

Competency and Skill Requirement
Academic      Qualification      and      Work Experience Personal Skills
§  Bachelor’s degree recommended

§  Minimum of 2 years in sales and marketing or preferable in a similar environment

§  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and social media web platforms.

§  A committed born-again Christian, with a personal and active relationship with God

§  A   versatile   and    good    communicator    who    is passionate about people.

§  Must be a leader.

§  Must have pastoral leading.

§  Must be able to translate strategy into action

§  Must be a creative and innovative thinker

§  Should have a sound understanding of Harvesters doctrine

§  Good administration and people management skill

§  Microsoft office proficiency
